Best company I've ever had to deal with. Cane when said he would gave me a great estimate and worked with me even tho I changed our plans a couple times.

We had Chris re-dig and repair our French drain after heavy storms and water inside our first floor. What a great experience after such a frustrating situation! Chris was responsive, flexible, and easy to work with, especially around the holidays and winter weather. He was even able to accommodate coming back to help with backfilling the trench, which I initially thought I'd be able to do myself (note to self: 25 cubic yards of muddy soil is extremely hard to move by hand!).See more

I was looking to get my driveway regraded and resurfaced. Chris came out to look at it and we discussed a couple different options and came up with a plan. Chris's suggestions were fantastic. He ended up regrading and widening the driveway and also suggested using millings instead of gravel. It's been about 9 months since he completed this work for us and we couldn't be happier. He was very respectful of the property and our expectations. We recently got bombarded with flash flooding and rain that the area hasn't seen in a decade. The driveway redirects the water into the storm drain and has not washed out at all. His work is top tier and we highly recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

We live in Saxonburg, an area known for having a high water table. Despite having two sump pumps, and internal French drains, we've had issues for almost a decade with our basement flooding. This is especially true when we have major storms, long multi-day… We live in Saxonburg, an area known for having a high water table. Despite having two sump pumps, and internal French drains, we've had issues for almost a decade with our basement flooding. This is especially true when we have major storms, long multi-day rains, or flood warnings...events that seem more common than a decade plus ago when we moved here. Sump pump upgrades and servicing of our internal French drains were not enough.

Over the past several years we were quoted for French drains by other contractors, and listened to plumbers give other ideas about how they would fix the problem. None of which were reasonable; we were always skeptical of the high costs involved and the takes some of the contractors had about how they would fix the problem.

On a whim, calling around again concerning French Drains, we called Chris at CTX Excavating. He brought really practical ideas to the table about how he would attack the problem. His pricing was competitive. Chris suggested a partial French drain around the rear of our home where most of the water enters our basement after collecting in the yard. After beginning excavating, Chris revealed the problem...massive amount of water sitting up against our foundation with nowhere to go (see photo). His French Drain installation instantly began to move water away from our house before it was even complete, and we've weathered a pretty serious storm already with no water in our basement.

When Chris contacted me , I had a yard that was pretty much useless. It consisted of a lot of weeds, a few spots of grass, and was such a steep hill that I rolled down it more than once! We nicknamed it the Back 40!
I had gotten three or four other estimates to make it as level as possible so I could use it and also, when the time came, list the home for sale with a fenced-in back yard!!

Chris delivered exactly what I wanted, at a fair price, and more!!!
He and Devin thought out of the box and came up with a design that I couldn't even imagine requesting. It's beautiful.

CTX did a great job. I had a backyard that was practically unusable because of water. it was a muddy and sloppy mess. CTX came in and installed a series of French drains to dry up my yard.
